The Lightstalker’s Skye and West Highlands Photo Adventure was the first multi-day photography workshop that I have participated in. Being the first, I was a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect but once we got started that feeling quickly dissipated. Glen had a wonderful itinerary prepared for us and was prepared with alternatives when the weather looked a bit tricky. He was always on hand to offer guidance or answer any questions we had. Glen made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and confident in what we were doing despite varying levels of photography skills, physical abilities, or even simply confidence on more “rugged” terrain. I am so glad I choose my first photography workshop to be with Glen; I couldn’t have asked for a better week. I look forward to the next trip I take with Glen, because I don’t plan on this being my last!

Glen is very easy going and very aware of everyone in the group. If you want help you can get it and if you don’t he is hands off. Very friendly and makes the trip seem like a group of friends just hanging out and having fun. Thanks for a wonderful time.

This was first residential photo workshop/tour and it will not be by last. Glen with his knowledge of both Skye and photography was able to take the group to the correct places at the right time of day and then show us how to get the best out of the situation. Although Glen had produced a full itinerary of what we were going to do we were not fixed to this as the Skye weather changed what we were able to do. I hope to join you again.

If I had the time and money I’d go on ALL of Lightstalker’s trips

These two different photo locations provided me with new experiences and challenges as a photographer. The busy Cinque Terre with it’s colourful houses and many steps and the almost tranquil urban Toscana were two different places to photograph. The accommodation, food and the people in the group were all outstanding. Thanks for a great tour Glen!
